Rockford Grange Events

January 3, 2026 - 10am to 5pm
Rockford Grange Strategic Visioning Retreat
For Members, Prospective Members and Friends of the Grange

This will be an interactive, fun, experiential event as part of our Grange revitalization initiative. We'll be doing visioning, some inspiration and activities both for our personal visioning for the year ahead, and what might be life-giving and delightful for ourselves, the Rockford Grange, and our community.

We hope to establish priorities, sketch out a calendar for the year, with the possibility of identifying focus topics for some interest groups. We'd love your creativity, insight, and genius in the rich mix! We'd love for you to attend, even if you are only able to come for part of the day.

Visioning starts in the morning. Please bring a dish to share and old magazines and scissors if you have them, for collaging for one of the morning activities. And there'll be plenty of supplies for all. What is ahead in this fresh new year?

Bring your aspirations and inspirations and curiosity... RSVP to info@rockfordgrange.net

Join us for our Monthly Second Thursday Potluck

Thursday, January 8 from 5:30 - 8 pm

A reminder that in 2026 we will be meeting on the second Thursdays of each month. Potluck 5:30-6:30, then meetup and activity from 6:30 to 8pm. Our first gathering and activity will be on Thursday, January 8th starting at 5:30pm. Please bring a dish to share.

The activity will be garden planning and possible bulk seed buying along with an option for mending sweaters, socks, and more. Planning: We'll go over some basic considerations for regenerative and permaculture approaches to interplanting guilds for those interested in garden planning. Plus we'll have some resources for those interested in companion planting. Let's all bring our seed catalogs if we have them. If there is interest in buying seeds together, we can explore bulk seed buying. We can also explore the possibility of each starting certain plants for each other and having a start swap later in the season.

MENDING: We'll have a basic range of darning and mending materials, including needles, spools of wool yarn, some threads and patch cloths, crochet hooks, and more. Plus a copy of Erin Lewis-Fitzgerald's Modern Mending: How to Minimize Waste and Maximize Style.

Grange Members, Prospective Members, and Friends of the Grange welcome!
